Irina is currently a Graduate Architect, working in Malaysia. She graduated from the Manchester School of Architecture in 2022 with a Distinction for her RIBA Part 2 and completed her RIBA Part 1 in the same University.

She believes that sustainable, user-centered and contextual design is the key to creating beautiful and functional spaces. Her design philosophy revolves around enhancing the human experience through thoughtful and innovative user-centred architectural solutions, paying attention to the forms, materials and genius loci of a place. She places importance on how resources can be used to optimise the use of energy and minimise the carbon emission of a building.

In University, she explored many interests such as adaptive reuse, conservation, environmental design, feminist architecture, architecture history and fire and life safety. She is always curious about the contemporary challenges architecture can solve in a wide range of urban and non-urban environments. Her interests are not limited to education, residential and commercial projects and she is open to learning new wide range of experiences in the field whether the project is bespoke or at a larger scale. She is also interested in learning skills in modern methods of construction, building off-site, digital fabrication, computational design and so on.

She is now currently working on contemporary residential and commercial projects in Malaysia but would love to explore her interests internationally. She is an independent worker who also believes in the importance of communication, teamwork and collaboration at the workplace.
